Welcome to my website. I’m Chef Yukiko, sole proprietor of Chef Yukiko, Personal Chef Services. My goal is to share with you and your family my love of food and my expertise in cooking. Through my personal chef services, you’ll experience a whole new way to enjoy fine food at home – by yourself, with your spouse, or surrounded by family and friends!
Let me briefly tell you about my background in cooking.
I grew up surrounded and coached by excellent cooks. My grandmothers, mother, and father are all accomplished cooks with a love of cooking and a zest for great food. I have fond memories of cooking at age nine, and by age fifteen, cooking had become a real passion. I also had a great love for playing the piano and singing. I went to school to study secondary music education. As much as I enjoyed teaching and working in music for several years, I realized that cooking is what I do best and love the most.
To begin learning more about food and cooking, I went back to school for formal training in classic French cooking techniques and food handling at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio. As a result of this training, I became a junior member of the American Culinary Federation, the nation’s most recognized certification organization for food professionals.
Today, it’s my privilege to be doing what I enjoy most – bringing adventure, skill and confidence to your kitchen – from private in-home cooking lessons to convenience meal services. My personal and professional goals are intertwined: to have a rewarding career doing the things I love - cooking, teaching, performing music, homemaking - and spending time with my husband and family.
The mission of my personal chef services is to make your life more fun, less stressful, less hurried – and maybe even more healthful – by having delicious meals ready and waiting for you in your home.
